As there is no presents of Hindus here in this Island, gives sign of total migration. There is a myth behind it.

The Brahmins who were living in this Island faced problems, and diseases. Then one Astrologer from Chirackal Kovil made an astrological Calculation and advised that this island is not suitable living place for Brahmins as there is a holy man of Muslims burried under this land. So Muslims should be brought here to live. Consequently two Muslim families were brought to live in the Island. It’s believed that present Islanders are from these two families.

“Chirackal Thamburan” devided the land and gave 75 acres of land to Kalarivathukkal Devaswam and 25 acres to Muslims. But gradually the land was lost now Mosque has below five acres land and temple has only 45 cents in land. It’s development was sudden and fast from the limited resources and Population.
